Harro von Have is one of Germany's leading media lawyers in the entertainment business. After initially working in a renowned Hamburg commercial law firm, he founded a specialized media law firm with 3 partners in 1990 under his name, among others, and built up the film team there for thirty years. Since 2020, he has continued his practice with a focus on representing filmmakers under the firm VON HAVE FEY with a team consisting of 7 respected media law experts.
Harro von Have is a member of the Board of Trustees and active as a lecturer and on the advisory board film at the Hamburg Media School (HMS). He has published various standard works on his area of expertise, including the commentary on the Film Funding Act (C.H. Beck Verlag, 2005), relevant chapters on film financing and film funding in the "Manual of Film-, Television- and Video-Law" (ed. by Hartlieb/Schwarz, C.H. Beck Verlag, 2021) as well as regular contributions to various specialist journals. He lectures at national and international professional events.
